The following set of documents is based on the presentation of Rob Weibel, on behalf of the project AGENT, at the 19th International Cartographic Conference in Ottawa, on the 20th of August 1999. An acknowledgements slide has been added and those illustrations that clearly represent personal contributions by individual researchers in the AGENT consortium have been labelled.
